Cannes Film Festival has never just been about the films. Every year, models and influencers from around the globe descend on the French Riviera to attend premieres and—almost just as importantly—walk the red carpet beforehand.
Given that some of the best fashion red carpet moments of all time have happened at Cannes—Amal Clooney’s yellow Atelier Versace moment in 2016, Bella Hadid’s red Alexandre Vauthier moment in 2016, Lupita Nyong’o’s green Gucci moment in 2015, and even Princess Diana’s blue Catherine Walker moment in 1987—it’s no small fete to be invited to attend the festival. In fact, it could change the course of your career.
British model and musician Hana Cross’ name is most recognisable when it’s paired beside Brooklyn Beckham’s. The pair famously dated for nine months before ending their relationship in September of that year. But now aged 23, Cross has begun making headlines in her own right: releasing her first single, sitting front row at fashion week shows, and now attending Cannes in one of the festival’s most show-stopping looks this year.
Cross attended the Story Of My Wife screening wearing a hand embellished Rami Kadi Couture dress covered from top to bottom in crystals and white pearls and sequins and appliquéd with tiers of devoré ostrich feathers. Cross wore a Hassanzadeh Jewellery necklace and earrings.
As for Beckham, the model and photographer recently bought a house in Beverly Hills with his wife-to-be, American actress Nicola Peltz, almost one year to the day since they got engaged.
E! News reports the more than 7,000 square-foot residence was built just last year and contains five bedrooms, a luxury kitchen, a pool, spa, and a wine cellar and other amenities, and has views over the Hollywood Hills and Los Angeles.
The following day, Cross attended the screening of “France”, dazzling again in a silver sequinned slip dress from Hugo Boss.
