It’s hard to pinpoint the exact moment Halsey encapsulated Australian audiences but we’re going to say it was the American musician’s cover performance of Justin Bieber’s Love Yourself in 2016 – and the over-pronunciation of the word f**k during said cover – that cemented her as a staple favourite. Sure, there was an irreverent attack on Iggy Azalea and some interesting sartorial exploits on several red carpets but when it comes to recognising an incredible voice – The Chainsmokers knew it early on – Halsey is that personified.
Now, its just been announced the certified platinum in the US and Gold in Australia, the UK and Canada singer has added a second Sydney show on April 22 to her Australian tour in April. Kicking off in Melbourne on April 21, Halsey will then fly to Sydney, Perth, back to Sydney and finish in Brisbane. At each stop, she will perform all her tracks from hopeless fountain kingdom (Hello GRAZIA’s favourite Now Or Never). She of course just released Him & I, her take on love with rapper G-Easy (who is also her boyfriend). The couple just performed the track earlier this month on Jimmy Kimmel Live in the States.
Joining Halsey in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Auckland is Grammy-nominated R&B marvel Kehlani who will be bringing her SweetSexySavage album back to Oz. Ticket details below and at secretsounds.com.
