Gwyneth Paltrow is being sued for USD $3.1 million (AUD $4.3 million) by a doctor who claims the actress crashed into him on a ski slope due to her own carelessness.

As the Associated Press reports, court documents filed in Utah by Mr Terry Sanderson this week show the doctor is seeking damages from the Goop founder.

Sanderson alleges that in February 2016, Paltrow crashed into him on a beginner’s run in Park City. He claims she was “out of control”, going “too fast for her ability” and “was distracted’ when she hit him, “knocking him down, landing on top of him, and causing him to suffer a concussion, brain injury and four broken ribs.”

As Sanderon tells it, the actress didn’t offer him any assistance, saying she “got up, turned and skied away, leaving Sanderson stunned, lying in the snow.”

Paltrow has denied the details of the lawsuit, with her spokesperson telling People:

“This lawsuit is completely without merit. Anyone who reads the facts will realise that.”

To be continued.
