To be perfectly honest, I don’t keep up with Gwen Stefani much at all. For her to fall so far from my radar given, like any millennial, I grew up chanting that this s*it is bananas and obsessing over Stefani’s style and iconic red lipstick, seems wrong. But even so, seeing that she’s engaged to her boyfriend of five years, Blake Shelton, made me feel pretty chuffed for the singer, who’s been pretty unlucky in love ’til now.

If you’ve somehow forgotten, Stefani was previously married to Gavin Rossdale – the wedding where she wore that iconic dip-dyed pink wedding dress designed by John Galliano for Christian Dior. But Rossdale was cheating on Stefani with the couple’s younger nanny for three years (honestly…), even when Stefani was pregnant with their baby. Foul.

But in happier news, Stefani has finally found what looks to be her happily ever after with her The Voice co-host, Blake Shelton. The couple posted matching pictures on Instagram of them kissing and Stefani holding up her ring finger. A source told People that the two were engaged recently in Oklahoma.

“Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life… I love you. I heard a YES!” Shelton captioned the picture, while Stefani went with a simple: “yes please!”

The pair started dating back in 2015, when they met as coaches on the set of The Voice. At the time, they were both recently divorced – Stefani from Rossdale, and Shelton from country singer Miranda Lambert. Shelton later said that their shared experience of heartbreak was what helped to bring them together.

“When you’re where she and I were, and you just feel so betrayed and on bottom, this bond that we formed when we found out what each other were going through, it’s still there,” he said, adding that he loves being a step-father figure to Stefani’s three children. “The best part for me, selfishly, is discovering a part of myself that I guess I never really knew was in there. It’s definitely an instinct that kind of kicks in,” he said. There’s also reports the couple is looking into a surrogate, which would be Shelton’s first biological child.

Well, isn’t this just the damn cutest?
