When Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik were first linked in late 2015, many assumed they were just one of those Hollywood ‘couples’, in it for the publicity – he had his first solo album coming out, and she was fast becoming the It model of the moment.
Fast forward a year and it seems Gigi and Zayn are the real deal. She supported him through his battle with anxiety and an eating disorder, and they even broke up briefly – which any couple that has called time on their relationship for a while knows makes you stronger.
So it’s no wonder Hadid, 21, was feeling sentimental when the Pillowtalk singer turned 24 this week. Sharing a photo of the former One Direction member on Instagram, she added the caption:
“Happy birthday my handsome! so lucky to know and love a soul like yours. wishing you the best year ever!!!”

Taylor Swift – Gigi’s close friend and Zayn’s collaborator on the Fifty Shades Darker theme song I Don’t Wanna Live Forever – also paid tribute to Zayn on his birthday, wishing him a “HAPPY Z DAY” on Instagram.
Taylor’s birthday shout-outs are an honour usually reserved for her closest gal pals. Looks like Zayn’s scored a spot in the squad.
