There’s nothing like an A-list sheet mask selfie to mark the beginning of another award season. With back-to-back red carpets and the accompanying HD cameras to prep for, celebrities and their respective make-up artists count on souped-up sheet masks to plump their skin before the big night.

Emma Stone’s face painter, Rachel Goodwin posted a picture of the La la Land actress layered in a pout-plumping gel mask, saying: “Some say beauty is pain, others say it just ridiculous! And so is prepping for the #goldenglobes with this hilarious human being!”

Taking a full-faced approach to an anti-aging sheet mask were Drew Barrymore and Maisie Williams, who both slotted an de-puffing, hydrating and lifting sheet mask into their getting-ready beauty routines. However the only person to ever sheet mask and still look ever the glamorous A-Lister was Jessica Chastain, who’s stylist Elizabeth Stewart admitted on her Instagram feed that this is, “How the magic happens.”

But leave it to our favourite funny lady, the incomparable Julia Louis-Dreyfus to take out the sheet mask selfie award. Complexion covered in the regularly A-list-endorsed ‘Face-Lift-In-A-Bag’ from cult skincare label, Skyn Iceland, the Veep star was, “About to hit the red carpet & feeling confident.”
