Frank Ocean fans will finally get to see him perform songs from his new album Blonde, after the enigmatic artist announced several upcoming live gigs.

Ocean will be hitting the European summer festival circuit, headlining Danish festival NorthSide on June 9 and London’s Lovebox on July 14, with the potential for more announcements to come.

Across the pond, he’s also confirmed to headline Hangout Music Festival in Alabama and Sasquatch! in Washington, both happening in May. He’s also rumoured to be playing at NYC’s Panorama festival, although this has not been confirmed.

If none of those locations are convenient for you, never fear: Ocean is likely to announce more shows, and hopefully a tour. In an interview with the New York Times this month, he confirmed he and his team are in planning mode right now.

“I need to know how many records I’ve sold, how many album equivalents from streaming, which territories are playing my music more than others, because it helps me in conversations about where we’re gonna be playing shows.”

Many Australian fans that bought tickets to see him Down Under in 2013 were devastated when the singer was forced to cancel his Australian tour – including the headlining act at Splendour In The Grass – after just one show due to a torn vocal cord. Frank’s had plenty of time to rest – he hasn’t performed live since 2013 – so here’s hoping he’ll be rested and ready for some Australian performances soon.
