For locals and visitors alike, the bustling Gould Street in Bondi Beach is a must-visit mecca for the most sought-after international and local brands. Now, the narrow laneway will be host to Fox & Dove, a boutique retailer bringing a brilliantly curated eye to Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Boasting labels exclusive to the area including PE nation, ST. AGNI, Hansen & Gretel, Anna Quan, IRO, Philippe Model, Matteau, Peony, Faithful, Mother, Cecilie Copenhagen, just to name a few, Fox & Dove is the go-to destination for your seasonal wardrobe. The store opening comes in expansion following its flagship store on Mosman’s Military Road shopping strip, where the bricks-and-mortar store has stood for seven years.
“Bondi has been on the horizon since Fox & Dove began, so our whole team is super excited to join this iconic shopping strip,” says Fox & Dove Director Kayita Foran. “We have been exceptionally fortunate to have incredibly loyal customers both in store and online during this unusual year. We also certainly wouldn’t be where we are without our beautiful team that go above and beyond daily.”

Successfully prevailing the 2020 retail storm with smart and intuitive decisions, the businesswoman pivoted her Mosman store from event-skewed attire to at-home dressing early on, and the Fox and Dove E-Boutique has become an even more popular destination for online shopping. With clients travelling from the east, and in a time to reflect, reassess, and explore new ideas – it became clear that retail expansion was a natural progression.
Collaborating with Kayita, brother Rain is the creative behind the new store design. Both Bellingen born and bred, they have infused their love of nature and sustainability into the design that harmoniously juxtaposes with industrial fixtures; minimalism with repurposed warmth. The design of the Bondi store, like Mosman, is to create an inviting, practical space using sustainable materials and timeless design.
Rain explains; “What we love about the Bondi store is the floor to ceiling New York factory windows, when closed they look like a feature wall but hidden behind are the change rooms. This is similar to Mosman, where we used Japanese-style burnt recycled hardwood from Bellingen.
The reclaimed timbers at the centre of the store in Bondi are from the rivers we grew up swimming in. You can see the darkened grain character throughout each piece that is not only entirely unique but a feature that cannot be replicated.”
Rain believes, “Good design is when you enter a space and it just ‘feels right’. The surrounding makes you feel comfortable and allows you to stop and consider for just a moment.”
Fox and Dove Bondi is now open 7 days from 9am – 5:30pm at Shop 2A, 75 Gould St Bondi.
To celebrate the new store opening, customers will be gifted the new issue of GRAZIA from Fox and Dove, Bondi with purchases from November 2nd, until stock runs out.
