As three hundred guests descended on the corner of King and Pitt to celebrate the opening of the new Sydney flagship Tiffany & Co. store on Thursday evening, the night already had the markings of a good party. Girl about town and curator of cool Yan Yan Chan was escorted into the party under a Tiffany Blue umbrella with her boyfriend Nathan Jolliffe. Mixing her $3650 Tiffany & Co. Two Open Horizontal Bar Pendant necklace and $2900 Hardware Micro Link Bracelet with a Dion Lee bralette and paint-suit, Chan and Jolliffe hit the media wall before exploring the three-story store – including a selection of the world’s most precious “high jewellery” and exceedingly rare creations on level two. Kendall Jenner, A$AP Ferg and the 128 carat Tiffany Diamond were in attendance but it was the 9.30pm call time that saw Chan and her friends ushered downstairs for a quick photoshoot with A$AP Ferg’s partner and renowned photographer Renell Medrano. The crowd and the vibe were similar to that of Medrano’s recent “Modern Love” exhibit in New York City in February. “I like to come on set, feel the vibes and go with it. That’s how I work,” Medrano said at the time. “I inspect the environment and let [my subjects] chill wherever they want. If I feel like I got that one shot, that’s really it for me.” For Chan, that was the backseat of the parked Tiffany taxi on the scene, all of which was captured exclusively for us through Chan’s party lens below. Take a peek.
