What Lady Gaga’s red carpet style was to the 2019 award season, Emma Corrin‘s virtual iteration is to 2021.

The Crown actress stunned at-home viewers of the Critics Choice Awards today as she appeared on social media and on Zoom in Schiaparelli Spring/Summer 2021 Couture.

It’s not easy to wow fashion die-hards through a tight portrait crop but thanks to a risqué cutout and overzealous embellishments, Corrin was all fans could gush about amid the ceremony. On Instagram, we were treated to a full look at the glamorous ensemble. The reimagined little black dress was paired with sheer stockings and Jimmy Choo stilettos.

Schiaparelli’s artistic director, Daniel Roseberry, has spoken on the actress.

“Emma’s on fire. We couldn’t be more pleased that she has chosen to wear Schiaparelli,” he told British Vogue. “The maison is having a moment, and it’s perfectly matched with Emma’s. I think that you can see by her choosing this look that she is thinking for herself and dressing for herself, and those are values that Maison Schiaparelli has always stood for.”

The full look was the brainchild of stylist Harry Lambert who has dressed music royalty, Harry Styles and Corrin’s co-star Josh O’Connor. Corrin appeared at the Golden Globes one week prior wearing a floor-length Miu Miu gown, its extravagant shoulder pads and wide, layered collar mimicking an 1800s-era regality.

The Crown took home the Critics Choice Award for Best Drama Series while Josh O’Connor was awarded Best Actor in a Drama Series, Corrin nabbed Best Actress in a Drama Series and Gillian Anderson was delighted to win Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

Other standout looks from the Critics Choice Awards included Cynthia Erivo’s Vera Wang gown and Daniel Levy’s Dior suit.
