The technicolour world of Emily in Paris is back with a new season filled with plenty of fresh drama and outfits that are bolder than ever. But while Lily Collins‘ character Emily and her many ‘American’ antics may drive the plot, it’s her chic (former) boss, Sylvie Grateau, who really steals the show.
Played by Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Sylvie has brought a classic French sophistication to the screen since its inception, often balancing out Emily’s maximalist ‘more is more’ approach with her timeless styling, neutral tones and elegant silhouettes. Though it’s clear that the luxury marketing executive has plenty of French designers to choose from in her wardrobe, her latest covetable ensemble actually hails from right here in Australia.

In episode four of the Netflix show’s fourth season—after much back and forth about whether the event would go forward—Sylvie cuts a chic figure at a club opening in Christopher Esber.
Aptly titled the ‘Salacia’ dress, this black strapless dress boasts a unique, asymmetrical bust with hand-crafted hardware outlining a sculptural wave cutout across the torso. Made from a soft stretch luxe compact rib knit, the shapely neckline intrigues, while the snug column skirt flatters the figure.

While the dress itself is currently sold out, fans can still nab the top version from Christopher Esber’s website—for now, anyway. Featuring the same alluring neckline and form-hugging fit, we love this piece as a statement after-dark top with relaxed trousers or worn over a t-shirt for some daytime layering.
