We have mixed feelings about August. On one hand here in Australia it usually promises warmer weather ahead. But, it’s often our coldest month of the year, forcing us to retreat indoors and with a slathering of moisturiser on at all times. It was also announced this month that for the third year in a row Australians would experience yet another La Nina weather event, meaning a cooler summer and a lot more rain. Thus, we’re investing in transeasonal styles and multi-purpose skincare. Below is everything we’re coveting this month. Happy shopping!

PFEIFFER Shirt Dress, $390. SHOP NOW

“I am ever so patiently waiting for the warmer weather so I can wear this beautiful striped shirt dress courtesy of Australian label, Pfeiffer. Founded in 2015 by Angela Aspradakis and Virginie Pepin in Bondi, the brand is redefining modern womenswear with styles designed with the ethos of “slip-on and go” (aka my kind of dressing).  Earlier this year the brand received an accreditation as a carbon neutral business by Australian start-up, trace. It’s fashion you can feel good about.” – Rebekah Clark, Features Writer

“Anything Olympia of Greece does turns to sartorial gold. (To be honest, as a young Royal, I’m sure anything she owns is probably gold.) In recent news, Louis Vuitton tapped the modern princess and friend of the house to the face of their Capucines’ collection latest iterations: the BB handbag.Made from Taurillon leather with a shimmer effect that gives off a colour change in the sun, it’s elegant and timeless (and the chain (braided with leather) is removable) taking you from the London high street to a Manhattan bar in a flash.” – Jessica Bailey, editorial director

“You may already know and love the personalisation options at The Daily Edited but in an exciting addition to the brand’s offering, a funky new font is available to update your accessories. Inspired by the 1976 album by Mort Garson, the new Plantasia font celebrates the “earth’s natural oasis through its curve, playfulness and vibrant nature” according to the brand. ELLA BACHÉ FLORAL OIL FACE AND BODY CLEANSING OIL, 500ML, $76.00 SHOP NOW

“I’m an oil cleanser convert! Did anybody else experience a complete change in their skin’s texture this winter? I experienced really dry patches of skin on my forehead and the right side of face, a reaction I was chalking up to a combination of stress, international travel and my obsessive relationship with my office heater. After being advised my multiple facialists to try an oil cleanser – and trialling even more – this is the one that has stuck. Ella Baché’s new, clean and Australian-made Floral Oil Face and Body Cleanser is free from parabens and mineral oils and infused with a unique blend of Safflower which works with its Vitamin E to rebalance the skin barrier. It’s also great for removing makeup. Side note: My very first facial as a teenager was at Ella Baché and I love that this brand has been reintroduced to me now in my 30s. The scent alone took me back to being 14. How’s that for full circle?” – Jessica Bailey, editorial director
