SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: Following 12 months of renovations, Dior invited over 350 guests inside the house’s immaculate new flagship boutique at 65 Castlereagh on Wednesday evening: Soaring ceilings; Ready-to-wear collections hemming each level’s perimeters; Textured walls decorated with artworks by Christina Watka and Claire de Chavagnac Brugnon to reflect Monsieur Dior’s background as a gallerist and collector; Lighting just perfect for mirror selfies.

It was the party afterwards, however, that the Sydney set is talking about. Guests were transported to the city’s seductive Shell House where the main dining room, terrace and Sky Bar were transformed into an enchanted French garden by Sydney florist Hermetica. Forest green foliage hugged each room’s pillars and intertwined up the staircase, and around the piano (and it’s suited-up classical pianist man). Giant old world film lights lit up an extravagant greenery installation under the iconic Clocktower, and mossy mats provided a stage for singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist JOY. – a giant Dior flag flapping furiously behind her in the gusty night.

JOY.

A mix of talent were in attendance and clinking champagnes and cocktail glasses; Gabriella Brooks, Victoria Lee, Nicole Warne, Vera Blue, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Mia Healy, Thomas Cocquerel, Lincoln Younes, Cameron Robbie and Bambi Northwood-Blyth.
