Though Julia Fox’s brief romance with Kanye West thrust her into the limelight and to the forefront of the fashion world through appearances at the biggest runway shows, and later, appearances within them, Fox has long been a style muse of her own right.

While addressing style similarities between herself and West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian earlier this year, Fox revealed she’d, in fact, launched her own line back when she was in her early twenties. And that that line was so successful, the Kardashians themselves were customers.

So it makes sense that despite West and Fox’s relationship being over now for almost as long as it was on, Fox is still killing it with her wardrobe choices. Case in point: her most recent outing in L.A.

Never one to shy away from a bold look, the actress stepped out yesterday wearing a mix of two materials that almost never go together: denim and leather. The outfit in question consisted of a black leather zip-up biker jacket, a black leather mini-skirt, and black leather gloves to match.

Then comes the denim: Fox wore a pair of denim knee-high boots paired with an oversized denim shoulder bag.

While Fox was out, she also defended West, saying the rapper “wouldn’t hurt a fly” when questioned by TMZ.

When asked about West’s recent behaviour towards Pete Davidson and Trevor Noah, which had him banned from Instagram for 24-hours, Fox responded, “No, no, no, no, Kanye’s harmless. I just think that’s his artistic creative expression.”

“I know it’s aggressive, but I think if it really came down to it, I don’t think Kanye would hurt a fly,” she continued.
