Demi Lovato has announced on Instagram that her and boyfriend Max Ehrich are engaged. According to People magazine, the former Young and the Restless actor asked the singer to marry him in Malibu, California on Wednesday, with an incredible diamond ring by celebrity jeweler Peter Marco.
Lovato shared a series of photos from the occasion on Instagram last night with the following caption:
“When I was a little girl, my birth dad always called me his “little partner” – something that might’ve sounded strange without his southern cowboy like accent. To me it made perfect sense. And today that word makes perfect sense again but today I’m officially going to be someone else’s partner.

Ehrich shared a similar emotionally-charged post, referring to Lovato as “every love song, every film, every lyric, every poem, everything I could ever dream of and then some in a partner in life,” (*sobs into iPhone).

The pair have reportedly been dating for around five months, but have spent ample time together during forced lockdowns in the United States, causing Ehrich to design and purchase the custom ring within two months of them getting together. The pair most publicly declared their relationship when they shared a kiss on screen in the music video for Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande’s song “Stuck with U.”
