Cult Gaia sunglasses

I’ve been dreaming about ordering ~the~ Instagram-famous Cult Gaia dress for way longer than I’d like to admit. I’m referring to the LA-based label’s Serita Dress in Sand, worn by Hailey Bieber, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Romee Strijd, among others. This spring, I finally intend to add the piece to my wardrobe, teamed with a pair of sunnies from the brand’s first line of sunglasses unveiled on Friday, April 16.

“It’s always been my goal to create a fully realized closet for our muse; now she literally can be dressed in Cult Gaia from head to toe,” founder Jasmin Larian tells GRAZIA. “Our brand has evolved into an all-encompassing lifestyle brand, and the introduction of sunglasses was a natural progression for us. We wanted to bring a new perspective to sunglasses, much like we’ve done with the other categories we’ve launched.”

“I always knew one day we’d add sunglasses to the mix, but we’ve been working on these specific designs for about a year and a half,” the entrepreneur continues. “The three styles that make up our debut collection are the perfect juxtaposition of classic shapes with quintessential Cult Gaia elements. The styles offer utility but are also a standout accessory in and of themselves that makes you look twice.” Click through the mini-gallery below for a look at all three styles.

Cult Gaia’s first sunglasses range includes a total of seven SKUs and three styles that go as follows: a bold rectangular silhouette named Hera (available in two colors: white and yellow), a round-framed, slim shape named Katka (available in white only), and an oversized, chunky shape called Meira (available in white, teal, and yellow). The names of the styles come from Greek and Hebrew origins, meaning “queen,” “pure,” and “light,” respectively.

In addition to the three sunglass silhouettes, the brand also launched two eyewear strap designs. “Our sunnies straps were inspired by some of our past designs,” the founder explains. Its Ziba Eyewear Strap is a smaller version of the brand’s Ziba Chain Crossbody Strap, and the Ibis Eyewear Strap—made out of handwoven rattan beads—is inspired by the best-selling Cult Gaia R21 Eos Clutch. “We like to make sure we are telling a cohesive story throughout all of our categories.”

As if you needed yet another reason to add a pair to your cart, the brand just unveiled a campaign in line with the launch that’s bound to make them even more resistible. As seen on social media, Cult Gaia recruited its employee’s pups for a dog-focused photoshoot wearing the label’s new styles. Want a pair? Order now if you want your purchase to do some good.
