Crisis In Six Scenes – the much anticipated TV show from film director Woody Allen – premieres this month, and the official trailer has just been released.
Starring Allen himself, Miley Cyrus and Elaine May, the six-part comedy series is set in the 1960s and focuses on a group of older characters who are shaken up by a guest (Cyrus) who brings the counter-culture movement of the era into their lives.
Miley, in her first lead acting role since Hannah Montana ended in 2011, seems to both exasperate and mystify Allen’s character. In a scene from the trailer, she tells him “I don’t dislike you, just everything that you stand for.”
As the title alludes to, there are just six episodes (30 minutes each), and Allen has stated there will only ever be one season of the show.
Crisis In Six Scenes premieres on US streaming service Amazon on September 30.
