Ah Christmas. A time for tinsel and turkey, Mariah and mistletoe. And of course, a time for holiday parties. For glitter and red lipstick and that end of year glow.
And who better to school us on holiday glow than Nam Vo? The makeup artist – who turned her Instagram account into her meal ticket – is known for her “dewy dumpling” look: a super glowy, glass-like skin finish. She uploads videos regularly that show off her magnificent handiwork, and her most recent couldn’t be more perfect for the festive season.
The look features her signature skin: poreless, smooth, glossy. There’s a lick of blush, a lot of highlighter and likely a lot of dewy setting mist. The eyes are a simple but effective take on holiday shimmer, with an iridescent glitter washed across the lid, and a bigger silver glitter brushed underneath the lash line. It’s an upside down version of glitter liner, and the perfect way to conceal party season circles. Craft your own “unicorn tears” with a gel glitter so that you don’t get too much fall out.
To finish, Vo applied a matte, true red lip with expert precision (note the tissue shield). The result? Party face perfection.
