In the latest instalment of ‘is this actually happening or did I fall and hit my head?’, Chrissy Teigen and US President Donald Trump are feuding once again.
Teigen and Trump have sparred on occasion over the years, but things really escalated on Monday night (Australian time) when the President of the United States took aim at the model and husband John Legend for … basically no reason at all.
Trump, in a typically non-sensical Twitter rant, complained that he does not get enough credit for his efforts in criminal justice reform. He called out Legend and Teigen for not praising him, and not helping with the reform? Don’t overthink it.
“Guys like boring musician @johnlegend, and his filthy mouthed wife, are talking now about how great it is—but I didn’t see them around when we needed help getting it passed.”
That’s right, y’all. “Filthy mouthed wife.”
This kind of thing is only fuel for the fire for social media queen Chrissy, who hit back with a response so perfect and clever on so many levels, she’s truly outdone herself.
“Lol what a p***y ass bitch,” she wrote.

Soon, #filthymouthedwife and #PresidentPussyAssBitch were trending on Twitter, and within 12 hours Teigen’s tweet had received 62,000 retweets and 380,000 likes.
Legend, had his own thoughts on the absurd situation.
“Imagine being president of a whole country and spending your Sunday night hate-watching MSNBC hoping somebody–ANYBODY–will praise you. Melania, please praise this man. He needs you.”
He followed that up with a second tweet with what is known as a sick burn.
“Ah yes, Melania is otherwise occupied. My apologies,” he wrote, adding a photo of Melania sharing a polite kiss with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that recently went viral.

In response to Trump’s claim Legand has not been involved in any activism work for criminal justice reform, he tweeted:
