Chiara Ferragni – the real-life blonde behind blog, The Blonde Salad – wed her Italian beau, rapper Fedez over the weekend. It was a wedding to end all weddings; an extravaganza which included three custom Dior gowns, kaleidoscopic fireworks, a private jet and roses seemingly strewn from the sky. Fashion’s royal wedding of the year, the Sicilian spectacle had it all, and for the big day (or three) Ferragni’s beauty rose to the occasion.
The Lancôme muse inevitably opted for the brand to helm her wedding look; radiant, rosy and ethereally beautiful. It was a look which played up Ferragni’s signature beauty tropes – bold, dark brow, icy blue eyes and blonde hair – accentuating these features instead of disguising them. Not so much the blushing bride, rather, the glowing bride, makeup artist Manuele Mameli played with plenty of highlight to give Ferragni that desired matrimonial glow (very important), whilst eyes were kept relatively minimal; a set of fluttering falsies and some subtle shading.
The look was relatively monochromatic, anchored in a soft salmon hue. A subtle sorbet blush was swept across cheeks, whilst a similar pinky nude was painted on lips, Lancôme’s L’Absolu Rouge in Drama Matte – fitting for a day of theatric proportions. Hair was tied back simply in a low bun, with those famed blonde tendrils framing her face.
And her wedding scent? Lancôme’s Trésor, of course. A fan of the fragrance since adolescence, Ferragni returned to the scent she cherished so much for her big day. “I have been a fan of the brand since I was a young girl in Cremona. The perfume, Trésor, has been the scent of my teenager years.”
