Cardi B is set to join the growing list of celebrity beauty moguls with the impending release of her own cosmetics line, Bardi Beauty. As reported by TMZ, the star’s company Washpoppin Inc. has officially filed a trademark against ‘Bardi Beauty’, with the court documents indicating that she is looking to release a wide range of products, from nail enamel and nail polish (of course) to fragrances, skincare, and haircare.

It’s not the first time the WAP star has shared her intention to start a beauty brand. Back in March, Cardi B told her Instagram followers that she would be releasing a haircare line at some point in 2021. “This year I will be coming out with a hairline that I been working on at home for my hair and my daughters,” she wrote in the caption of a recent post.

She revealed her motivation for the products was born from a desire to make the industry more inclusive. “I think is time for people to educate themselves on nationality, race and ethnicity. Being Hispanic/Latina don’t make your hair long, don’t make your skin light or don’t make your face features slim specially Latin countries from the Caribbean islands,” she continued in the post.

It seems starting a beauty brand has actually been on Cardi B’s mind for some time. Way back in 2019, the one-time reality star told an interviewer that a beauty line was “very” imminent as it was “something that I want to do”. While the star’s team have yet to respond to the conversations around her latest business venture, fans have already expressed their excitement at being able to buy into Cardi B’s brand of extreme glamour.
