Whether we are escaping the mundanity of our post-restricted lives or the messiness of our social media feeds, a woman’s night time routine has become a much-needed tool to disconnect and relax. In a new series “How I Wind Down…”, we speak to lot of different women about how they prepare for a restful evening.

As a mother of three, Candice Warner values a calm nighttime routine and after spending many days in the sun as a surf lifesaver and iron woman, a potent skincare routine is priority- even when she hasn’t been wearing makeup. This month Warner appeared at the forefront of the next L’Oreal Paris innovation, the Revitalift Retinol + Niacinamide Pressed Night Cream. To celebrate the launch, here she speaks with GRAZIA on everything she does for a restful evening.

Can you describe your night-time beauty routine?

“Firstly, I always cleanse but if I have been working that day (I never wear makeup if I don’t have to), I will do a double cleanse, after this I apply my night time serum to dry skin followed by my L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Retinol + Niacinamide Pressed Night Cream followed by eye cream for my tired eyes.

How do you wind down after a busy day?

“After my girls are in bed, I generally watch some TV with a green tea and a cheeky chocolate and when Dave’s home, we like to have a wine together.”

How do you decorate your space to assist in falling asleep?

“I dim the lights in my room and I specifically chose a tranquil palate to create a relaxing vibe.”

What time do you go to sleep?

“I’m a working mum of three kids and I’m out by 9:30pm, unless David is playing cricket overseas and I’ll stay up late to watch the game!”

Do you plan the next day’s look before you go to sleep?

“If I am working and will be on camera then for sure! Otherwise, I am more often than not in activewear or whatever is most comfortable!”

What is your go-to ensemble?

“A nice tracksuit and trainers or jeans, boots and a coat depending on the occasion!”
