Caitlyn Jenner celebrated her 70th birthday on Tuesday evening surrounded by family and friends, but there were some notable absences.
While Kylie and Kendall Jenner, son Brandon Jenner and stepdaughters Kourtney and Kim Kardashian all turned up to help her celebrate, stepdaughter Khloe and son Brody Jenner were nowhere to be seen.
Jenner has six children to three different wives, the most famous offspring of course being Kylie and Kendall, whom she had with Kris when she known as Bruce.
While her other children and stepchildren seem to have accepted Caitlyn for who she is, there’s a rift between Khloe and Caitlyn due to the way Kris was depicted in Caitlyn’s memoir, The Secrets Of My Life.
It was reported this week that Caitlyn dropped out of a slated appearance in Florida when she realised that Khloe would be there supporting Scott Disick (her sister’s ex-husband) and his current partner Sofia Richie.
After the publication of Caitlyn’s memoir in 2017, Khloe impersonated Cait on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, saying, “‘I’m the victim, I’m the victim, they don’t want to see me’. Oh f*** off [Caitlyn] and it’s not because you’re trans. That’s not why I’m not talking to you. I’m not talking to you because you’re a bad, mean person.”
Earlier, following Caitlyn’s famous Vanity Fair cover in 2017 in which she came out as trans, Khloe was equally unequivocal in her feelings towards her stepmother. “I said [to Caitlyn], ‘You slaughtered my mother and you have the nerve to say, ‘What happened to family sticking together?’ You jumped that ship as soon as you did Diane Sawyer and attacked my mum’, and instead, [she] tells me to ‘get a life’ and ‘shut up’ and I’m like, ‘you shut up and you get a f***ing life.

Somewhat oddly, Caitlyn’s birthday cake was decorated with a picture of her as Bruce, holding Kendall and Kylie when they were babies.
Despite the no-show of some members of the clan, Caitlyn appeared to have a fab time.
“Birthday today! So blessed to have so much love in my life from family and friends,” she wrote on Instagram.
There were no birthday messages from Khloe, but Kim took to Instagram to say, Happy 70th birthday @CaitlynJenner I love you forever.”
Asked what she wished for as she was blowing out her candles? “I wish we would get together more often.”
