It seems almost unfathomable that it’s been nearly seven years since Brittany Murphy passed away. (It’s also been 21 years since she starred as the Cher Horowitz’s naïve protégé, Tai Frasier, in Clueless in 1995). Almost equally shocking is Murphy’s house, the place in which she died of a reported accidental drug overdose and pneumonia in 2009, is up for sale.

Re-listed for a huge US$18.4million (AUD$24.8 million), the three-story mansion – which murphy bought off Britney Spears – has been renovated from the ground up and now, according to TMZ, features five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a home cinema, massage room, wine cellar, infinity pool and an elevator. See inside the place now, in this bizarre marketing video for the property.

Only in Los Angeles.

The coroner first ruled the actress’ death as an accidental overdose but when her husband Simon Monjack died of the same illness six months later, the health department considered toxic mould as a cause of death. This was dismissed by the Coroner’s office. Her mother’s filed a lawsuit against the builders of the property in 2011.

Murphy would have been 39-years-old this December.
