In the early days of a fitness regime, those hard-won results can seem so far away, if not impossible.

But Brie Larson is here to be your workout inspiration, revealing how nine months of strength training can dramatically change your body.

Sharing a short video to Instagram overnight, the Oscar-winner performed an impressive set of pull-ups as her trainer watched from the sidelines.

“Nine months of training really does some stuff to your body,” she captioned the clip.

The reason for the 28-year-old’s body transformation is her next role, playing Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel (out 2019).

Larson is the lead character in the superhero blockbuster, a US Air force pilot whose body fuses with an alien’s in a crash, giving her super-human strength and other powers. The actress visited a US air base recently to meet female pilots to research the role, as she revealed on Instagram earlier this week.

“I got to learn from the best,” she wrote. “Meet Brigadier General Jeannie Leavitt, 57th Wing Commander. I had the pleasure of spending time with her and many other badass, fascinating, and deeply hilarious pilots on a recent visit to Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. Thank you for helping me get closer to core of Carol Danvers aka #CaptainMarvel.”

She’s reportedly signed on to reprise Carol Danvers is a second Captain Marvel film.
