Let’s all spare a thought for Bow Wow, who just taught us all a powerful lesson about what can happen when you lie or fake something on social media.
This week the rapper, who now goes by Shad Moss, shared a photo on social media of a private jet as he headed to New York to do press for his show Growing Up Hip-Hop.
But a Twitter user allegedly spotted Bow Wow on their commercial flight minutes after he posted the photo of a private jet.
Another user was able to find the image Moss shared on a Florida transport company’s website – it appears to be a stock image.
Obviously, the internet has mocked Bow Wow mercilessly over his sneaky behaviour, and the hashtag #bowwowchallenge was born. Enjoy.
And remember this next time you feel envious of someone’s life on social media. It could all just be an Instagram illusion.
