A-listers including Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Michael B. Jordan and many, many more all flocked to the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premiere in the most regal and majestic styles on Wednesday evening at Hollywood’s Dolby Theater. Bright colors, extravagant silhouettes, and luxe materials made up the attendees’ exceptional fashion choices.
The highly-anticipated sequel to the action-packed 2018 Marvel hit film focuses on Queen Ramonda (Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), Okoye (Danai Gurira), M’Baku (Winston Duke) and the Dora Milaje as they battle to protect their nation from interceding world powers after the death of King T’Challa (portrayed by the late Chadwick Boseman). The Wakandans must come together to forge a new path for their kingdom.
Honoring the late star of the original film, Rihanna’s upcoming song and the lead single of the movie’s original soundtrack “Lift Me Up,” pays homage to Boseman. The song will be released Oct. 28, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will premiere in theaters on Nov. 11.
Lupita Nyong’o in Balmain
Styled by Micaela Erlanger, Lupita Nyong’o adorned a white pleated asymmetrical cutout gown from Balmain. The Academy Award-winning actress teamed her look with a halo of cowrie shells in her hair and bling from De Beers Jewellers.

Angela Bassett looked as regal as ever in her purple pleated metallic lamé gown by Moschino with a sweetheart-style neckline and tiered skirt, with Reza jewels styled by Jennifer Austin.
Danai Gurira in Robert Wun
In another purple moment, Danai Gurira arrived in a sculptural Robert Wun Humming Rose gown with a voluminous ruffled top and an asymmetrical pleated skirt, styled by Thomas Carter Phillips.
Rihanna in Rick Owens
Rihanna adorned a sequined taupe strapless Rick Owens dress from the designer’s Fall/Winter 2022 ready-to-wear collection. The futuristic creation featured a draped gathering at the waist and denim accents that created a corset-style silhouette which extended into the gown’s circle train. She teamed her look with opera gloves, coordinating Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and swirling diamond Reza ear cuff.
Michaela Coel in custom Ferragamo
Styled by Georgia Medly, Michaela Coel wore a strapless shimmering custom Ferragamo gown from the Spring/Summer 2023 collection with a coordinating draped hood, teamed with sheer opera gloves and jewels from Lola Fenhirst and Thelma West.
Letitia Wright in Alexander McQueen
Letitia Wright looked sleek and chic in her tailored Alexander McQueen Pre-Spring 2023 black suit with a back cutout featuring a bedazzled crystal harness, styled by Shiona Turini. She teamed the look with the brand’s Punk Chelsea boot and silver jewels.
Michael B. Jordan in Louis Vuitton
Michael B. Jordan made a bright style statement on the purple carpet in a bold marigold suit from Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2023 ready-to-wear collection over a white tank top, and paired with black patent leather boots. The actor added an extra dose of glam with Tiffany & Co jewelry and a Vacheron Constantin watch, styled by Jason Bolden.
