Beyoncé has stolen the VMAs beating out Adele’s Hello, Justin Bieber’s Sorry, Drake’s Hotline Bling and most importantly, Kanye West’s Famous to win Video Of The Year for her Formation music visual. She dedicated the award to the people of New Orleans and thanks her daughter and husband for always supporting her. But that wasn’t all that went down at this year’s VMAs. Here’s a couple more things to talk to your friends about:
Kanye WEST’s bizarre speech about Beyoncé and Taylor Swift
West took his four minutes to cover himself if he lost to Beyoncé for the Video Of The Year award. “Famous might lose to Beyoncé but I can’t be mad, I’m always wishing for Beyoncé to win, so…” he joked. He also used the opportunity to launch his new, strange music video for his track Fade and rectify that he did indeed call Taylor Swift. Kim Kardashian was seen clapping and laughing in the audience.
That moment between Drake and Rihanna
Drake and Rihanna had a very in-love moment as he presented her with the Vanguard Award (this is basically MTV’s equivalent of a lifetime achievement award). Many have said it was almost as if Drake was about to drop one knee and propose to Rihanna in his tux. Imagine. At this very moment, the only people in the room were Rihanna and Drake as he said, “I’ve been in love with this woman since I was 22-years-old.”

Beyoncé’s flawless performance
Perhaps Tinashe said it best; Beyoncé sets the bar for everybody. She makes us all want to work harder. Proof right here the Queen will not be dethroned anytime soon.

Kim Kardashian presented Britney Spears to the stage
It was meant to be Britney’s comeback and while the choreography was great, the performance has been labelled as lacklustre.
