Beyoncé doesn’t let fans into her private life often, usually opting to share family photos and celebrations well after the fact. But for Valentine’s Day this year, the popstar was feeling charitable, not only sharing an insight into her date night with husband, Jay Z, but also a look into her home life with children, nine-year-old Blue Ivy and three-year-old twins Sir and Rumi Carter.

The 39-year-old shared a slideshow of images to her Instagram feed showing her outfit for dinner: a head-to-toe ensemble by British designer Alessandra Rich, as well as breakfast at home and presents both to and from her children. Her 165 million fans lapped up the content with many noting in the comments section they were happy the singer’s signature slideshow gallery was back after a brief hiatus.

For Valentine’s Day dinner with Jay Z, Beyoncé looked perfectly polished in a white shirt, red leather mini skirt with a matching leather belt, red bow pumps – also by Rich, but sadly sold out – and, of course, matching red eyewear. She finished the look off with a red Alexander McQueen Story Shoulder bag and wore her long hair loosely curled. Later, the famous couple were papped leaving a Santa Monica restaurant with Beyoncé wearing a black blazer coat over her outfit to keep warm.

This isn’t the first time Beyoncé has shown her love for designer Alessandra Rich. Just a few months ago, in September, she posted a photo of herself lounging on a couch wearing a cropped tweed jacket and matching mini skirt by the designer, complete with a pair of hot pink satin pumps (also by Rich), and sparkly accessories.

There you have it: Beyoncé says it’s not only okay to be cheesy on Valentine’s Day, it’s also okay to match your outfit to the day. And who are we to argue?
