Beyonce celebrated turning 35th in New York on Monday night, throwing a Soul Train-themed bash on the rooftop at the Nomad Hotel that went until the wee hours of Tuesday morning. And thanks to the guests that shared photos and videos on social media, we can all pretend we were there.
Bey was joined by her fellow Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz, Usher, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Serena Williams, Joan Smalls, and of course husband Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy, who were all dressed up in 1970s Saturday Night Fever style dress.

In a video posted to Instagram from the party, Bey is seen grinding on Jay (that’s him in the afro) as the party watches on, before pulling a few solo moves.

Another clip shows the birthday cake being brought out, and Blue Ivy grabbing the microphone to say “Happy Birthday mummy” which obviously made the crowd ‘aw’ in unison. Knowing she can do no wrong, she then takes a cheeky taste of the cake during her mum’s thank-you speech.

According to E News! at 1AM police arrived following a noise complaint from a neighbour. The music was turned down and the bash raged on until around 4.30 AM.
In other words, don’t expect Bey to reply to your calls and texts today.
