May 3, 2021: Pre-pandemic, I lived for Queen Bey’s outfit collages and carousels on Instagram, but of course, with nowhere to go amid the worldwide health crisis, those slowed down. So when the multifaceted entertainer graced us with a photo in a custom Balmain neon green wrap dress teamed with matching pointed-toe heels this past Wednesday, I positively lost it. As a testament to that fact, here I am, the following Monday, still raving about the epic monochrome fashion moment.
The look that’s still at the top of my mind was a nod to talented designer and creative director Olivier Rousteing, celebrating a marked decade at the helm of the French fashion house. The famed designer conveyed his joy by reposting the image to his Instagram feed, captioning it “Waking up and I see BEYONCÉ in BALMAIN” followed by hearts and ending it with “#decades of love and support #thankyou @beyonce.”
Queen Bey finished off her hot girl summer monochromatic look with a matching neon green Medea Mini Suede Bag. She accessorised with a pair of gold statement hoop earrings and frameless cat-eye sunglasses from Philo Eyewear. She not only blessed us with one outfit photo, but two (can she get any more gracious?). Earlier the same day, Bey posted a snakeskin-filled look paired with lime-coloured shorts from Jacquemus. It seems, according to Beyoncé, neon green is the colour of the season, and who are we to argue?

The singer’s outfit pics aren’t the sole thing making headlines recently. This successful year has precisely been a big one for the star. April marked the fifth anniversary of the legendary singer and director’s acclaimed visual album, Lemonade. Knowles posted on social media highlighting the cultural milestone that won the legendary singer multiple awards, including a Grammy for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Music Video for “Formation.”
