Beyoncé is stepping up her fashion game — literally.

On April 18, Queen B posted a new photo on Instagram posing in a stairwell in an eye-catching mini dress, complementary pointy green heels and dark sunglasses. The “Black Parade” singer’s made-to-order piece is from Auné Collective and features a trompe l’oeil print that at first glance appears to be a swirl pattern but is actually the profile of a statue’s face.

In a nod to ’90s style, the dress, which is made in a soft nylon-blend mesh, features a high neckline and thin spaghetti straps. It retails for 225 euros, or about USD $270. She followed up the stairwell shot several hours later with another picture in the same outfit, this time pairing the mini dress with a neon green purse.

According to its website, Auné, a UK-based fashion-focused retail concept store, takes pride in “focusing on how past and current fashion collections interact with each other” and “brings these items in dialogue with each other.”

In that case, it turns out a picture really is worth a thousand words. The dress 39-year-old Beyoncé posed in on Instagram as well as others from the series are all currently sold-out. Beyoncé has a special lifelong connection with design since her grandmother was a seamstress and her mother, Tina Knowles, and late uncle, Johnny, made the first costumes she wore when starting out in Destiny’s Child.

The star once noted fashion’s “true power and potential” is its ability to be “a tool for finding your own identity, expression, and strength.”

“It transcends style and is a time capsule of our greatest milestones,” she added.
