Following the seemingly endless stream of revelations about entertainment industries favourites being sexual predators – Kevin Spacey, Louis C.K., the list goes on – at last, something to feel good about.

In the wake of all the awfulness, a tweet asking people to share stories of celebrities being nice has gone viral, and there’s a heart-warming anecdote about Beyonce.

A Beyonce fan account shared a 2013 quote from 90s singer Jewel, who revealed Beyonce’s kindness and generosity towards her when they performed together back in 2003.

The You Were Meant For Me singer and Bey were performing together on VH1’s Divas Duets special, singing a rendition of Proud Mary. The performance involved some dancing – something Bey is a natural at, but Jewel is not.

“I’ll always be indebted to her because I didn’t know how to dance… I’m a freakin’ folk singer… I don’t dance!” Jewel said in the quote, which is from a 2013 interview on America’s New York Live program.

“She took care of me. She stayed with me for like three hours after rehearsal. She really tried to make me look good and in this business, that just doesn’t happen.”

Jewel took to Twitter to confirm the story is authentic, writing “This is true… she is a class act.”

They don’t call her Queen Bey for nothing.
