The UK may be mourning the death of its queen, but over in the USA celebrations were had over the weekend for the 41st birthday of theirs: Queen Bey.

Never one to shy away from an event to rival that of the Met Gala, Beyoncé held a star-studded party on Saturday night in Bel Air, Los Angeles with a guest list including Drake, Kim Kardashian, Bella Hadid, Lizzo, Lily Rose Depp, Megan Fox, and Adele.

Of course, when you’re inviting the most famous faces in the world to come together, some awkward encounters are bound to happen: Khloe Kardashian and her ex-partner Tristan Thompson were both present and were spotted entering the venue at different times. Kardashian wore a sparkly two-piece and matched her outfit to an equally sparkly Balenciaga bag and her older sister, Kim, too opted for sparkles, wearing a black and red jumpsuit and oversized black (very probably Balenciaga) sunglasses.

Lizzo, meanwhile, opted for a red Adidas x Gucci two-piece, using the occasion to post a cute couple’s shot with her boyfriend Myke Wright, writing “We Gucci” as the caption:

Disproving the breakup rumours that’ve been plaguing them recently were Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox, who were seen entering the venue together, both also opting for sparkles — I sense a theme — throughout their statement outfits: MGK in purple sparkly trousers and a white fur jacket and Fox with silver sparkly platform heels and orange sparkly tights with white leg warmers underneath a fur jacket of her own.

Underneath, she wore a chainmail bra and sparkly hotpants, which was revealed when she took to Instagram to confirm the theme was indeed roller disco.

Another attendee, Adele, also made a quiet statement, seemingly proving the rumours that she married her partner, Rich Paul, by wearing a gold ring on her wedding finger as spotted in paparazzi photos of her in her car with oversized hoop earrings on and her hair worn in tight curls to fit the retro theme.

Fans first speculated the pair were engaged when the singer was spotted wearing a huge diamond engagement ring to the Brit Awards earlier this year, then wedding rumours began last week when Adele shared a photo showing her coffee table which has a personalised game atop it with ‘The Paul’s’ written on the top.
