Who doesn’t love a new season beauty buy? This time of year especially is ripe for the beauty picking — limited holiday launched are happening, and brands are ramping up fresh new makeup and skincare buys for the looming new year. So far this month, we’ve seen a velvety lipstick, a cookie-scented luxury candle, an oil-based under-eye treatment concealer and a decongesting toner launched by none other that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

So here we’ve curated our pick of the best new beauty launches this month — perfect for gifting, mood boosting or simply to refresh your post-lockdown aesthetic. Enjoy!

Givenchy Le rouge sheer velvet, $61. shop now

Like cashmere for your lips, this lipstick is soft, powdery and a dream to wear. It has an expensive, polished finish and unlike so many other matte formulas it’s not chalky or drying. The velvet case is a treat too.

OPI Nature Strong Nail Polish, $23. SHOP NOW

This vegan, plant-based nail lacquer is designed to strengthen and care for the nail while imparting a high shine, professional-looking finish. The pictured shade — A Clay in The Life — is a soft pink taupe that looks like the base of a French manicure.

Diptyque Biscuit Candle, $111. shop now

Inspired by the warm, melting smell of freshly-baked holiday cookies, this more-ish candle from Diptyque is equal parts sweet and spicy. There’s notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and patchouli, and it comes in a beautiful vessel marked with real gold flecks. It’s limited though, so be sure to get in quickly.

R & Co Bleu OPTICAL ILLUSION SMOOTHING OIL, $89. SHOP NOW

R + Co’s latest ranging Bleu is made sustainably and champions nourishing plant botanicals for healthy hair and long-lasting style. This oil in particular drenches the hair in a glassy sheen, but because of the lightweight texture, there’s no heaviness or grease. Smooth it over a ponytail for Kardashian-level shine.

Rose Inc Skin resolution Clarifying toner, $46. SHOP NOW

Rosie Huntington Whiteley’s new beauty launch only features two skincare products, one of them being this toner. The ingredients listing is like a rolodex of everything you could ever want in a product: squalane, niacinamide, glycerin, lactic acid, willow bark (a form of salicylic acid), mandelic acid, malic acid and kaolin to gently resurface and clarify the skin without stripping it of any moisture. Think of it as a gentle daily exfoliant for congested, dull skin.

Milk Makeup Sunshine Under Eye Tint + Brighten, $43. SHOP NOW

If your under-eye concealer settles into fine lines, you need this nourishing, oil-based roll on formula in your life. The fluid is dispensed via a glass roller ball (for de-puffing benefits) and subtly corrects darkness and blue tones beneath the eye. Roll it on and pat with your finger for a seamless finish.

Holifrog Tashmoo Water Lily Milky Wash, $54. SHOP NOW

Founded by US publicist-turned-skincare-brand-founder Emily Parr, Holifrog launched with ‘situational cleansers’ or gentle facial cleansers that were designed to treat skin situations instead of ‘types’. Tashmoo in particular is — aside from being a favourite of Hailey Beiber — creamy and softening, gently dissolving away makeup and impurities while caring for the skin. Patrick Ta Major Brow Lamination Gel, $54. SHOP NOW

This super sticky gel will lift and hold your brows like nobodies business, so buy it if you’re chasing a laminated look you can dial up or down. The little comb wand is great for manoeuvring unruly hairs, too.

Jeunora Brightening Booster Vitamin C Serum, $55. SHOP NoW

This dual serum contains kakadu plum and a form of stabilised vitamin C to brighten and refresh dull, uneven or pigmented skin. It’s also rich in lipids to rehydrate and hyaluronic acid for a bouncy finish.
