A tattoo can mean a lot, or nothing at all. But the timing and design of Bella Hadid’s new ink hints the model’s made very a permanent decision to move on from The Weeknd.
The same week her boyfriend of two years until November was photographed hooking up with Selena Gomez, the 20-year-old got two tiny wings tattooed on the back of her right ankle. NYC tattoo artist Jon Boy posted photos of the design on Instagram.

Sure, we might be reading too much into it. But wings, a symbol of freedom and lightness, must be symbolic to Bella after her-long-time boyfriend hooked up with someone new. Time to spread those wings and move on?
Bella made her feelings known without saying a word on Friday when she flipped the bird at paparazzi waiting outside her NYC hotel, and then posted the photo on Instagram. As an up-an-coming model who’s never seemed bothered by being photographed before, we’ve got a feeling her aggressive gesture wasn’t directed at the snappers but a couple of people who would no doubt see the photo instead.
