This week, the internet was convinced Drake and Bella Hadid had recently dated after analysing the lyrics to his new song, Finesse.
On the track, the Canadian artist raps “Should I do New York? I can’t decide. Fashion week is more your thing than mine,” and makes reference to “You and your sister/ Too hot to handle.”
The lyrics were interpreted by many to be about Hadid, since the pair were linked last year after he threw her a 21st birthday party.
No so, according to Bella. When someone on Twitter asked if Finesse was about her, and another user wrote “Probably, who hasn’t [Drake] banged?” She replied:
“Not me!!! That’s disrespectful. WHY CANT PPL BE FRIENDS W/o all the insinuation”.
