If you flash your underwear at an event one year, does that mean you’re expected to do it again the next? Bella Hadid seems to think so. Perhaps learning a lesson or two from 2016’s Cannes red carpet whereby the model wore a plunging and very revealing Alexandre Vauthier, this year Hadid – while wearing the same designer – graduated from the modesty patch to full underwear.
Across the carpet was best friends Emily Ratajkowski (who was twinning with Hadid in cream satin trails) and Hailey Baldwin – both in Twin Set by Simona Barbieri. Perhaps the most beautiful of the night though was Elle Fanning in Vivienne Westwood. She of course is in the South of France to promote her new film The Beguiled, directed by Sophia Coppola. She was closely tied with Lily-Rose Depp who, taking after her mother’s French roots, appeared effortless.
