When Bella Hadid graced the Cannes red carpet premiere of The Unknown Girl in a daring cut-to-there Alexandra Gauthiere red silk sheath she almost broke the internet (well, maybe not the entire www but at the very least, the GRAZIA site). The jaw-dropping gown will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the riskiest on the Cannes red carpet and now, Hadid herself reveals that she was “sort of scared about” wearing the daring look and who can blame her? Should a mild breeze kick up or sneeze overcome her we would have all copped more than an eyeful.

Hadid opened up to Glamour about exactly what it took to pull off the daring look. When asked how she navigated the tricky issue of underwear Bella revealed that the dress came with an in-built silk leotard. ‘I didn’t have a problem with it at all, it held itself together,’ said the model, ‘If there was a little wind that would have been a problem but there wasn’t. It all worked out!’ So there you have it, we can all sleep well in the knowledge that Bella Hadid didn’t have to go commando at Cannes.
