Watching the trailer for the next episode of The Hills: New Beginnings, you could be forgiven for thinking it’s 2009, not 2019.
In the teaser clip that dropped overnight, Audrina Patridge and Heidi Montag head to a day spa for some girl time, where Patridge gets deep about her recent divorce – she split from Corey Bohan, the father of her daughter Kirra, in September 2017.
“I just, I’ve been going through a lot on the personal side of things,” Audrina tells Heidi, referring to the ongoing divorce proceedings (it was finalised in December).
“It’s just the court, custody, just everything at once. It gets hard.”
Patridge, 34, is briefly shown on the phone to her lawyer discussing legal details.
“My little girl is my pride and joy and she literally is like an angel sent from God. I could cry, I love her so much,” Audrina, 34 says.
“It’s been so hard lately… You get so used to having someone there all the time and then it’s just like getting used to being on your own, being a single mum, it’s just—it hit me today.”

The Hills: New Beginnings viewers are waiting to see what might eventuate between Audrina and old flame Justin Bobby, who is also in the reboot. Recently, she said:
“My daughter has met him, and they loved each other … You never know what you’re going to get.
“There’s always going to be something with us … Having Justin or even just that kind of attention is always nice,” she continued.
“It takes your mind off what you’re going through and kind of lightens the mood up because, even people going through break-ups, sometimes it gets too heavy and dramatic and serious, so it’s nice to have someone to lighten up the mood and be flirty with sometimes.”
The episode airs in Australia on Tuesday on MTV.
