That’s exactly what went down backstage at Atelier Versace AW16, where Bella Hadid, Stella Maxwell, Taylor Hill and Irina Shayk were snap happy as they were being prepped by make-up master, Pat McGrath.

Two statement looks were sent down to contrast Donatella’s ladylike collection: a futuristic sky blue winged eye and an ombre red glitter lip, which Bella was clearly obsessed with. Saying in her backstage selfie “@versace_official@patmcgrathreal ❤️??”

To supercharge your own red lip this winter weekend without, take note of the accompaniments the girls got backstage at Versace: Clean, raw skin, softly groomed brows and mascara on the top lash line only.
Opt for dark red lip liner to anchor the look, taking it along your natural lip line, drawing in onto the lip on the outer corners for a gradient effect. Next, choose your lip colour and finish with a pressing of glitter before it sets. Or, for a more entry level approach consider a glitter-spiked lip gloss layered onto bare lips.
