One thing I always get asked by friends is where to go for a great facial, and of course being the thorough Beauty Editor that I am, I fire back with a dozen follow-up questions: Do you want total relaxation? (Try the Park Hyatt, Sydney or Crown, Melbourne.) Somewhere you can hang around in before and afterwards? (The hammam at QT Hotel is epic.) Are you after serious results? (Melanie Grant has magic hands.) Or a truly fantastic classic facial? (Always Joss Petroni.) A bit of everything? (You can’t go past team at Dermalogica.) And when I go home to Melbourne, it’s all about Clinicalase in Carlton for me.

But the one thing most people respond with is: “I just need a facial every other month to fix my skin.” And that’s totally cool, but I always think it’s such a shame to save up all your pampering for a rare professional facial (even if the guys above can seriously work some wonders.) To me it’s like not brushing your teeth and expecting your dentist to sort out everything in one go. It’s about maintenance and making a ritual. Me, every Sunday I’ll throw in a hair treatment and do a mini reviving facial. Mid-week if I’m struggling from office-skin fatigue, I’ll do a peel. Before a special occasion there’s nothing like a sheet mask to tighten and brighten.

So I obviously  get super satisfied when celebrities and models reveal their at-home facial routines. Even with a little black beauty book packed with the best skin experts in the business, these A-Lister’s understand the benefits of a regular skin ritual. Here are three to get you inspired.
