Ariana Grande is taking a break from social media in the wake of her split from Pete Davidson.

Taking to Instagram overnight, in a post that has since been deleted, Grande told fans she was logging off for a while as she struggles to get over the break-up.

“Time to say bye bye to the internet for just a lil bit,” she wrote.

“It’s hard not to bump [into] news [and] stuff that I’m [trying not to] see [right now].

“It’s very sad and we’re all tryin [sic] very hard to keep goin [sic]. love u. and thank u for bein [sic] here always.”

A day earlier, she confessed she was struggling with anxiety after the split.

It comes as the God Is A Woman singer covered up the ‘Pete’ tattoo on her finger with a band-aid at the filming of A Very Wicked Halloweena TV special airing in the US on October 29 in which she has a singing role.

The couple both got several tattoos dedicated to each other throughout the course of their relatively short relationship; Ariana also has the numbers 8418 across the top of her left ankle – the badge number of Pete’s firefighter father, who died on 9/11.
