NEW YORK CITY: Ariana Grande was spotted on Saturday night at fiancé Pete Davidson’s Saturday Night Live taping at the Rockefeller Plaza. Witnesses claim the pair were so loved up and “plenty of hugs and kisses throughout the night”. Holding hands, no one could have presumed that less than 24 hours later, they were broken up.

Sources close to TMZ have said there was no major fallout, it was just “time” to split. “The couple were holding on for dear life and desperately trying to make their relationship work,” reports the publication. “We’re told they’d been trying to repair things for a while, but were essentially just going through the motions without real feelings anymore.”

In May this year, the couple announced their engagement with a 100K engagement ring, just weeks after they reportedly started dating. The popstar has been tweeting a few emotional tweets of late suggesting she’s been going through a hard time, perhaps in the wake of Grande’s ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller’s death a month ago.

Miller died of a reported drug overdose which left Grande understandably in an incredibly dark place. While she didn’t blame herself, she felt like an emotional wreck. TMZ, who have been speaking to multiple sources close to Grande and Davidson have said the God Is A Woman singer just couldn’t give everything to her relationship at this time and questioned whether she had rushed into the engagement.

No party has commented as of yet.
