Kanye West suffered a mental breakdown at the end of last year that forced him to spend time in hospital and cancel the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo Tour.

In a recent interview, West attributed his mental health struggles to several things, including “fear, stress, control, being controlled, manipulation like being a pawn in the chess piece of life … being in competition with so many elements at one time.”

But according to Snoop Dogg, Kanye’s wife and in-laws are to blame.

Appearing on The View, this week, the rapper said Kim and the rest of the Kardashian family are not putting Kanye’s mental health first.

“I mean, I thought he needed some medical attention first and foremost,” the 46-year-old said of Kanye’s recent erratic behaviour, which included saying in an interview that “slavery was a choice”.

“But then after I got past the laughing, I started feeling sad for him. He truly misses his mother, he truly misses a black woman in his life. He truly misses the stability of having somebody telling him when he’s wrong and correcting him and checking him as opposed to allowing him to keep doing what he’s doing.”

A veiled attempt at Kim Kardashian and co, no doubt. Earlier this year he shared a similar sentiment on social media, writing:

“The evolution of Jay-Z and Kanye show you how influential your wife can be to your life.”
