Taylor Swift isn’t the only celebrity to use music to hint at personal milestones. Zayn Malik fans have been decoding the singer’s new album for the past few days, trying to figure out very important things, such as the name of his daughter with Gigi Hadid. Some even think that the former One Direction member has either popped the question to his supermodel girlfriend or is planning to do so soon, after he dropped the word ‘wife’ in one of his new songs.
The album, titled Nobody is Listening, is full of romantic, loved-up tracks, which is fitting given Malik and Hadid welcomed their first child, a baby girl, into the world in September 2020, and seem happier than ever. But one song in particular piqued fan’s interest. It’s ‘When Love’s Around.’
In the second verse of the track, which Syd features on, Malik sings, “Never feel that type of way / But I need you in my life / Yeah, you could be my wifе for real.”

Quickly, people noted the lyrics – and that Hadid had shared the exact verse on her Instagram on the day of the album’s release. Others also noted that a few weeks ago, Hadid was spotted wearing a ring on what looked to be her engagement finger in an Instagram video.
Whether or not these two are planning to walk down the aisle, they’re reportedly more into one another than ever. A source told Entertainment Tonight that the couple are “so in love and having a baby together has brought them even closer.”
“They share the same values when it comes to culture, family and parenting,” they continued. “Gigi and Zayn both have very close relationships with their families and raising their daughter with that same loving environment is very important to them.”
Plus, Hadid “is settling into being a new mum perfectly.” The source said, “Motherhood has come to her with such ease … She is such a natural.”
