Blake Lively has said Ireland could soon become her “second home” should her upcoming film The Rhythm Section be a success at the box office.

The 31-year-old actress fell in love with a little place just outside of Dublin called Avoca; a quaint river-hugging town in County Wicklow.  “Oh my god can we talk about Avoca [in Wicklow], have you guys been to Avoca? You have to go to Ireland just to go to Avoca, it’s just heaven,” Lively told Independent.ie.

“How it’s described in the Bible is inaccurate, heaven is what Avoca is… it’s just heaven,” she continued. “Everybody’s gonna be like ‘she’s disgracing the bible’ – I was joking, World.”

Dublin-ers are rightfully miffed at this second that the movie star’s favourite Irish spot isn’t actually even in the capital city – she did of course spend so long filming in Dublin. However, uprooting her family to Ireland is a very real possibility. “If everybody goes and sees Rhythm Section in theatres in February then we will have to make a few more, there are about five books so it will be our second home – Dublin will be my second home.”

The Reed-Morano directed film sees Lively play an assassin hell bent on getting to the bottom of her family’s death in a supposed airplane crash. Lively is currently on the promotional trail for her new film, A Simple Favour – a stylish, post-modern thriller (also starring Anna Kendrick and Henry Golding) about a mother who goes missing from her small town in Woodsy Connecticut.

A Simple Favour is in Australian cinemas now.
