Anne Hathaway‘s stylist needs a raise. Or perhaps it’s her beauty team. The actress has single-handedly broken the internet this morning after she arrived at the Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2023 runway at New York Fashion Week overnight looking exactly like her on-screen character, Andy Sachs. She sat front row alongside renowned fashion editor Anna Wintour and an arms reach away from Serena Williams in a full circle The Devil Wears Prada moment.

For the uninitiated (you must go watch the film right now), Andy Sachs is a budding journalist who finds herself as the assistant for the notorious editor-in-chief of Runway magazine, Miranda Priestly. In the last scene of the film Sachs wears a brown jacket, black turtleneck and her signature bangs. For the recent runway, Hathaway opted for brown knee length coat and black knitted dress.

Whoever did this (Michael Kors maybe?) knew exactly what they were doing. “The way she looks exactly the same 17 years later should be studied,” one user said below a @DietPrada Instagram post. Another added, “Mama saw the seating chart ahead of time and knew this was her moment.”

Recent years have seen Hathaway become a style icon of sorts attending shows for Valentino and Bulgari and walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in Armani. She most recently appeared in the Apple TV+ drama series WeCrashed.

The cast of The Devil Wears Prada reunited via Zoom for the 15th anniversary of the film in 2021 where the stars reflected on the beloved film and answered some of our burning questions. One in particular was whether Nate, Sachs’ boyfriend, was the real villain. More on that here.
