One of fashion’s most powerful straight-shooters Anna Wintour has appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden, and, strangely agreed to play Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts. It’s not a game we ever imagined Wintour to involve herself in but behold, we are here, albeit for a few slight rule changes.

The premise of Corden’s segment allows for he and his guest to ask each other a series of pressing, revealing and uncomfortable questions. If a player cannot answer, they have to eat something horrible. In the past, this has involved the likes of fish eyes or bird sperm. For Wintour however, the stipulations worked into her contract have redefined the words “disgusting” and replaced the aforementioned with fast food. (Note: GRAZIA does not think fast food is disgusting!) But we guess for someone of her calibre cheeseburgers and donuts aren’t part of the weekend UberEats delivery. “We read that your worst nightmare [is] to eat actual fast food, you won’t touch it,” says Corden to Wintour. And behold, again, we are here.

Corden, while letting the menu changes slide, doesn’t hold back with his questions. Everything from who Wintour wouldn’t invite back to the Met Gala (Donald Trump) to whether she dated Bob Marley (she didn’t, P.S.) is covered off. But it’s when he asks her to rank fashion designers from best to worst that Wintour crumbles. She was given three choices: Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs and Ralph Lauren.

Given all three were probably loyal advertisers to her publication – and good friends – she settles on Tom Ford as number one with the disclaimer that’s only because he is her dinner party companion the evening before. Corden does not accept this answer.

“That’s mean,” Wintour replies, counting the loss of dollar signs should she actually go on the record to say one is better than the other. “I can’t do this.” And with that, she picks up a piece of bacon-wrapped pizza.
