Breakout star Ana de Armas is about to skyrocket into A-lister fame thanks to a little film known as Blonde, in which the Cuban-born actress plays Marilyn Monroe. De Armas is already generating Oscar buzz for her turn as the Hollywood bombshell, with her depiction of the fractured actress so spot on, fans have done side-by-side comparisons praising the exactness of her portrayal.

Ana de Armas was already a major star in Cuba before making headlines globally as she landed roles in blockbusters like Knives Out and No Time To Die. Then, a whirlwind relationship with Deep Water co-star Ben Affleck made her a tabloid sensation. Needless to say she’s walked many a red carpet, with a style that has evolved over the years and cemented her as a fashion icon.

Take the journey with us through Ana de Armas’ style over the years.

Most of us have plenty of evidence that we bought into some questionable fashion trends during the 2010s, but Ana de Armas emerged relatively unscathed. Sure, we might not wear those platform peep-toes anymore, but this dress still checks out.

Again, it’s definitely circa 2012 but switch out the giant pendant necklace (remember those?) and de Armas is living her indie sleaze era.

If this isn’t proof that de Armas was going to be the perfect Marilyn Monroe, we don’t know what is.

Cobalt blue is definitely de Armas’ colour.

For her first foray at the Oscars (well, the Oscars After Party, which is arguably more of a coveted invite), de Armas wore a Spring 2017 Elie Saab gown.

While we love a blonde Ana de Armas, she’s so sultry as a brunette. For the 18th Annual Latin Grammy Awards the actress wore Ralph & Russo.

When it came to the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, de Armas glittered in Dolce and Gabbana.

Her starring role in Knives Out led to a very stylish press tour. Here, de Armas chose Saint Laurent for her appearance at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival.

One of her most memorable, show-stopping red carpet moments, Ana de Armas wore Louis Vuitton to the global premiere of James Bond film, No Time To Die.

In Hollywood for the world premiere of Netflix film The Gray Man, Ana de Armas went literal in this gunmetal gown, again by Louis Vuitton.

We can’t wait to see what the movie star wears for the Blonde premiere, which happens next week as part of the Venice Film Festival.
